Please read these terms carefully before booking your tour

Welcome to CU Tours Sri Lanka. By accessing our website and booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. General Terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of CU Tours Sri Lanka's website and services. By using our services, you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

  • All tours are primarily designed to start and end in Tangalle.
  • All listed prices include transportation from Tangalle to the specified destinations and back.
  • If your pickup location is outside Tangalle, additional transportation charges will apply depending on the distance.
  • Guests staying far from Tangalle are advised to select our Custom Tour for accurate pricing and convenient arrangements.
  • Prices are quoted in USD (or LKR equivalent) and may change without prior notice due to fuel costs, government taxes, or other factors.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion if terms are not met or for operational reasons.
  • These terms may be updated periodically; continued use of our website or services implies acceptance of the latest version.

2. Booking and Reservations

All tour bookings must be made through our official channels (website, WhatsApp, or phone). A booking is confirmed only after:

  • Receipt of official booking confirmation from CU Tours Sri Lanka.
  • Payment of the required deposit or full payment as specified at the time of booking.
  • Acceptance of all applicable terms and conditions by the customer.
  • Verification of availability for the requested dates and vehicle type.

Bookings made within 48 hours of the tour date may require immediate full payment.

3. Payment Terms

Currently, we accept cash payments only to ensure transparent and direct transactions:

  • Payment Method: Cash payment at the start of the tour
  • Currency: Payments accepted in USD, EURO or LKR at current exchange rates
  • Payment Timing: Full payment is due before the tour begins
  • Receipt: Official receipt will be provided upon payment
  • Future Options: Online payment methods will be added as we grow

Please ensure you have the exact amount or inform us in advance if you need change. We do not accept credit cards, bank transfers, or mobile payment apps at this time.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp). Refund policies are as follows:

  • 30+ days before tour: Free
  • 15-29 days before tour: Free
  • 7-14 days before tour: Free
  • Less than 7 days: 25% refund of total amount paid
  • No-show: No refund

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

5. Changes and Modifications

Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges:

  • Date changes requested 7+ days in advance: No fee
  • Date changes requested 3-7 days in advance: $10 modification fee
  • Date changes requested less than 3 days: Subject to cancellation policy

We reserve the right to modify or cancel tours due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient bookings. In such cases, a full refund or alternative tour will be offered.

6. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Lost or damaged luggage and personal belongings
  • Personal liability

CU Tours Sri Lanka is not responsible for any losses, injuries, or damages not covered by our standard liability insurance.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and travel documents
  • Arriving at designated meeting points on time
  • Following guide instructions and respecting local customs
  • Being in suitable physical condition for booked activities
  • Informing us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements
  • Respecting fellow travelers, staff, and local communities

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in denial of service without refund.

8. Liability and Risk

CU Tours Sri Lanka will not be held liable for:

  • Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings
  • Delays or cancellations due to weather, natural disasters, or force majeure
  • Actions or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Changes in government regulations or travel restrictions

By booking our services, you acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks and agree to participate at your own risk.

9. Photography and Marketing

During tours, our staff may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes. By booking with us, you consent to:

  • Being photographed or filmed during the tour
  • Use of your images on our website, social media, and marketing materials
  • Sharing of your reviews (with permission)

If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform your guide at the start of the tour.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information:

  • Personal data is collected only for booking and service purposes
  • Information is stored securely and not shared with third parties without consent
  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • We use cookies to improve website functionality and user experience

11. Complaints and Disputes

If you have any complaints or concerns:

  • Notify your tour guide or driver immediately during the tour
  • Contact us in writing within 7 days of tour completion
  • We will investigate and respond within 14 business days
  • Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
